Job Purpose:
To manage and oversee the entire IT operations function of the LFVN to ensure the stability, availability, and security of IT systems. This includes infrastructure, applications, databases, and operational processes, while ensuring compliance with internal regulations and legal requirements. The role also supports the successful implementation of IT projects and change requests from development teams and coordinates UAT activities with business units.
Main Responsibilities:
1. IT System Operations Management
Ensure the continuous and stable operation of all IT infrastructure (servers, networks, storage, databases, operating systems) and business applications.
Oversee system monitoring, incident handling, backup/restore, and ensure service levels (SLA) are met.
2. Resource Management
Manage DevOps, Application Operations, and Infrastructure Operations teams.
Assign tasks, develop team competencies, evaluate performance, and provide coaching and training.
3. Strategy & Planning
Develop and execute IT operations strategies aligned with the LFVN's business goals and technology roadmap.
Plan and manage IT budgets (CAPEX/OPEX) and resource allocation for operational teams.
Drive continuous improvement, standardization, and automation of IT processes and workflows.
4. Compliance & Security
Ensure IT operations meet regulatory, compliance, and audit requirements (e.g., SBV, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001).
Enforce policies and controls related to access management, patching, backup, and disaster recovery.
5. Project & Change Management
Collaborate with IT planing, Security, and Project teams to support new applications, system deployments and infrastructure changes.
Govern change management processes to minimize operational risk.
6. Incident & Problem Management
Lead the response to major incidents, ensuring timely resolution and communication with stakeholders.
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
7. Team Development & Leadership
Build and develop a high-performing operations team through coaching, training, and career development.
Promote a culture of accountability, customer-centricity, and operational excellence.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
Minimum 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure/operations, including at least 5 years in a leadership or management role.
Experience in banking or financial services is strongly preferred.
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure: servers, storage, virtualization, networking, and cloud (private/public).
Hands-on knowledge of core banking systems, middleware (e.g., ESB), database management (Oracle, MS SQL), and ITSM tools.
Familiarity with DevOps/CI-CD practices and tools is an advantage.
Leadership & Soft Skills:
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong decision-making and crisis management capabilities.
Fluent in Vietnamese; English proficiency (reading, writing, communication) is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications such as ITIL, Linux/Windows Administration, Oracle DBA, or other infrastructure-related credentials.
Experience with DR site operations, VMware virtualization, Oracle RAC/DataGuard, enterprise backup solutions.
